Adding, using and removing the Cordy app
Cordy is a scheduling platform. When an organisation books an appointment with one of its people, Cordy can create the Zoom meeting for that appointment on that person’s own Zoom account, so the client gets a working join link without anyone copying one by hand.
Connecting Zoom is always done by the person who owns the Zoom account. An administrator cannot connect someone else’s account for them.
There are two ways in, depending on whether you use Cordy yourself.
This is the usual path, and it needs no Cordy account and no Cordy password.
Connect links are single-use and expire. If yours no longer works, ask for a new one.
Either route ends in the same place: your Zoom account is linked to you, and only to you, inside your organisation.
Once connected, you do nothing further. For every video appointment booked with you:
Meetings are created with join-before-host on and no waiting room, so a client is never left outside a locked room if you are a minute late.
If your Zoom account is on the free plan, Zoom ends meetings at 40 minutes. Cordy warns about this where an appointment type is longer than that.
Cordy reads your Zoom account’s email address and plan type once, when you connect, so it can show you which account is linked and warn about the free-plan meeting limit. After that it creates, updates and deletes only the meetings it made for Cordy appointments.
Cordy does not access your recordings, your contacts, your chat, or any meeting it did not create. It stores the credential for your connected account server-side only; it is never sent to a browser and is not readable by other people in your organisation. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
Either route below fully disconnects the account. Use whichever is in front of you.
If you sign in to Cordy, open Connection and press Disconnect beside Zoom. A manager at your organisation can also disconnect your Zoom from your agent settings — useful when someone leaves. Cordy deletes the stored credentials immediately.
Zoom then notifies Cordy that you have removed the app, and Cordy deletes the stored credentials on receipt of that notice.
